Catch-up & HUG Video

We've had a busy, busy week! The Fourth of July started for us at 8:30 in the morning for breakfast and swimming at the in-law's. Then at 3 we had Aidan's birthday party, and then after that we hung out at my parents house. Then saturday we had a belated Fourth party at our neighbors and we spent the morning feeding squirrels at the park. Then on Sunday it was church and then back out to C-town for Christian's birthday. On Monday Grandmama came out to play, and tuesday we swam over at Nana & Pop's most of the day. Wednesday we played at the workout center and went to the park. Today we met our friend Thayer and Karis at Going Bonkers to play there.

Mitchell and Uncle Max. Mitchell can't believe he is related to this guy!

Mitchell playing with poppers

Daddy showing Mitchell how a sparkler works. Once Mitchell figured out he couldn't play with it, he wasn't interested!!
Mitchell with the birthday boy Aidan. Aidan is on the trike.

Trying to feed the ducks. But they weren't that interested. A cute squirrel hanging on the wire around the trees so the beavers don't grab it for their dam!

Daddy and Mitchell discussing World Politics.

Mitchell and Karis. Mitchell wouldn't look at the camera.

I got this adorable video of Mitchell reading the book HUG by Jez Alborough. For those of you unfamiliar with the book, it consists of three words-HUG, BOBO and MOMMY. Bobo is a little monkey who sees lots of mommy & baby animals in the jungle hugging, but poor Bobo cannot find his Mommy to give him a hug. So he starts to cry. Then Mommy finds Bobo and all the animals Hug and all is well with the world.

Abby! I didn't know you have a blog! Very cool. I've had one for a year, but only posted 4 times...maybe I can turn that around! --Erin
