Mardi Gras and more...

We were invited to ride on the float for the local library where I am a board member, so Mitchell and I went. And he had quite the fun time, although he really didn't get the whole concept of throwing beads at the people along the parade route. Perhaps next year he will get it and have fun. The theme of the float was all of the things people can do at the library besides checking out books. We were in the Storytime part of the float, and that meant I got to do a puppet show for Mitchell. There was a $1,00 prize for the winning float and the library sure does need it!

On another note, we went toMitchell's school today so he could be in the class picture. Since he only goes on Thursdays, and the picture of the T-TH class was today we had to venture down to C-town if I wanted a pic for Mitchell's scrapbook. Just after we got there Mitchell was excited to see his friend Belle, who is the sweetest looking little girl. He talks about Belle quite a bit, and she's the only one on his placemat with pictures of his schoolmates that he would say the name of for the longest time. So we've already figured out Belle had made an impresstion on our little boy. It was nice to finally see Belle in person and meet her mom, and to find out that Belle talks about Mitchell a lot also. So when it was time to leave Mitchell wasn't happy because he didn't get to go back to his classroom, Belle came over to give him a hug AND a KISS! It was so cute. I laughed and told Mitchell we were going to have to tell his Daddy what happened. To which Belle's mom promptly told Belle she wasn't going to tell Belle's daddy what she did. And we both laughed because our kiddos are too cute!
