Rolly Poly's and Acorn Hats

We walked to the park today and encountered a new creature today- the always fun and exciting Rolly Poly. Mitchell saw one in a crack in the sidewalk and immediately got down on his belly to look at the curious new animal. He quickly picked up the name and wanted me down on the ground to watch it also.


There are some interesting Ducks at the pond right now. They wag their little tails like dogs and actually growl at you. They are not the most attractive ducks around, but they sure are funny. They aren't afraid of humans at all.

On the way home we came across a house that had lots of acorns and acorn hats. A few weeks ago Mitchell found the top of an acorn and I called it an Acorn Hat and he's had fun putting them on his head ever since. So today was no exception. He even insisted that I wear an acorn hat on my hat while we walked home.
