Our town has a Christmas celebration every year and Santa is always there. We go because it's fun and because Santa is free. Well, Santa truly disappointed Mommy this year. Actually make that FRUSTRATED Mommy. Santa was supposed to arrive at 10 according to the town website, but when we got there the sign said 11. Turns out that Santa had a last-minute conflict. Okay, no big deal since the local Boy Scout troop had games set up with prizes for the kiddos. Mitchell had a blast and Laura ran around trying to play. Thank goodness we live in a small town because there weren't a huge amount of people there. So 11 rolls around and Santa has called to say that he'll be 15 minutes later. Mommy is not happy because Laura has a very runny nose and this is all outside. 11:15 rolls around and it's apparent that Santa has forgotten. So lucky for us there was a guy who owned a Santa suit and lived 10 minutes away. So, it's 11:45, and FINALLY Santa has arrived. We had decided to finally leave because Laura had HAD it when we saw Santa get out of his car. So that's one reason Laura is so upset. The other is because she really doesn't like being held by strangers, especially when Mommy and Daddy are right there.

The Gingerbread House decorating contest. Mitchell didn't win and it was actually made with graham crackers which made it a bit more difficult.

Find the Reindeer game. Mitchell did great at it while Laura just threw the rice on the ground.

Knock the Elves down game. One of Mitchell's favorites.

Laura liked gathering the footballs for the "snowball" toss. As we were leaving the house Matthew made a comment about how her coat really clashed with her outfit, and I told him who cared because it wasn't like she was taking pictures with it on since I thought it was all going to be inside. I guess he got the last laugh, huh?!
