Meet Fred

First of all, I will soon be changing the name of the blog to Adventures of 2 Superheros and a Ladybug. Baby Zachary was born on January 6 and big brother & sister are very excited.

I want y'all to meet Fred. Fred is the stuffed animal Zachary will be posing with for the next twelve months. Fred is a big dog. He's about the size of Laura now. When I found out I was having a boy I put my Dad in charge of picking out Zachary's stuffed animal since Zachary is named after him. He had two rules: 1) It had to be large enough to show growth on Zachary and 2) It couldn't be a monkey or bunny since I wanted each kid to have their own animal. In case you didn't know or couldn't tell, Fred is a Boston Terrier. Bostons are special dogs to me and my family because my Grandparents always had a Boston or 2. My favorite was Cyndi Sue whose back legs were all black, so my Granny always said she wore "basic black pumps" because Cyndi Sue was a lady. I use to pretend to bring "Cyndi Sue Sue" new ones every once in awhile. So it almost made me cry on Christmas when I found out Dad had bought a HUGE Boston for Zachary. Laura loves Fred, so now the trick is to keep Laura from carrying him around along with stuffed Molly, new puppy Molly, Blueberry, and her juice.

Fred at the the hospital was funny because he is so big that nurses would come in for the first time and think he was real. When Fred went home a night early, Helen the night nurse commented that she was sad to see him go.
