Mollys Everywhere!!

Of course it is no secret that around this house we're a little dachshund crazy. So it should come as no surprise that Laura received 2 new stuffed weenie dogs for her birthday because both people saw them and immediately thought "Laura has to have this." No joke. They both told me this.

So I'd like to introduce you to the members of our dachshund menagerie: Stuffed Molly, Pink Molly, Purple Molly and Teal Molly. Yes, we are very creative with our names in our house. Pink Molly is really named Fiona because that's what she came with, but Mitchell insists on calling her Pink Molly. Stuffed Molly sleeps with Laura and can be found almost anywhere in the house. She's spent sometime in the crib, under the couch, on the floorboards of the car, scootched along the floor while Laura crawls, and quite a few moments being bit on the nose. Wait, I mean "kissed." It's only fitting that Stuffed Molly was Daddy's first valentine's gift to Laura. She is her Daddy's Girl.
Purple Molly is a new addition and may find her way to Mommy's area of the house where she would happily live with Purple Bear. Laura does love it though and finds the flowers fun and the nose particulary bitable...errr kissable. It's a favorite one for the car. Teal Molly has the special ability to actually bark. You have to "throw" her to the ground to hear it. It is for this reason that Mitchell likes Teal Molly the best. Laura loves the bone she keeps in her back pocket because Laura can chew on it. Pink Molly (or Fiona) is the electronic Molly. When she is on she barks to a little melody and growls and barks on her own. She's supposed to run on her own, but we've never figured that out. Laura doesn't mind it. Pink Molly's ears crinkle and her hip "joints" each have something special that goes with em. One is a button that makes her bark, one has a picture with balls, and the other two have a picture on them. And you can see how much the real Molly dog is thrilled with the fake Molly's. She just yawns and scratches her ear like "you actually like these things?!"
