Movers!

Mitchell loves the Imagination Movers. He loves listening to their music and watching their show and as a bonus, Mommy likes them to. So when I saw a pre-sale notice for their concert go up on Face*book, I jumped all over it and we gave Mitchell tickets as his big Christmas gift.

Mitchell and the Imagination Movers poster in his new Imagination Movers t-shirt that was $5 more at the concert than on their website. But I guess once I paid for shipping it's all even. Would've been nice to save that $5 though. Good news is that the shirt is huge on him so he can wear it for the next few years. Gonna get my bang for the buck! The Concert was great and they had three special guests they brought with them- Nina, Warehouse Mouse and Eddie the Monster. Mitchell was VERY excited to see Warehouse Mouse, who went on and off the stage in search for cheese. Green Bay Packer fans will be happy when they see the show as the Movers put on cheese hats to bring Warehouse Mouse back on stage.Eddie the Monster was another big hit with Mitchell as he looks like a Lego Rock Monster. Mitchell was very put off when they only refered to Eddie as a monster and not a ROCK monster. I'm sure they may have called him a rock monster, but not like Mitchell was thinking. Eddie is really a nice monster though. The concert itself was a lot of fun, but Mitchell is really more of an at home kind of kid when it comes to concerts. He sat in his Daddy's lap for most of the concert and really wouldn't dance along. His Daddy is the same way. The best is that the Movers are really just four guys who are friends who decided to make some Children's music that was for both parents and kids. The concert reflected that and I could tell they are children of the 70s-80s and I think some of my friends would've liked their jokes that I barely got and went over Matthew's head. (Get that Reckless?!) Movers Rich & Dave in the pic. Mitchell showing off his big muscles like the Movers asked. The Movers like to interact with the audience because it's mainly little kids and their parents, but we were up high so we weren't expecting any of them to make it up to where we were. Imagine our surprise when Mover Rich came up and was right by our row! We were smack dab in the middle, so I told Mitchell to go say hi. Well, by the time Mitchell made it down the aisle, Rich had left. This didn't stop Mitchell though. He followed Rich to the first row where Mitchell thankfully stopped. Meanwhile I had hopped over kiddos, made one mom mad (couldn't blame her really), and got to Mitchell before he could do anything. Thank goodness there were so many kids and Moms down there and the music was louder, so he had gotten a little confused. So before I herded Mitchell back to our seats, I snapped this great pic of Scott. And Scott did wave at us.

So lesson learned is that mext time we go to a concert type thing, I will not send my four year old off with explicit instructions to 1. stay at the end of the row and/or 2. go with them myself. You'd think that we would've done that anyways, but it never occurred to me that Mitchell would actually FOLLOW Rich the whole way back.
