It's hard to believe that last week we had a snow day and that the week before that we spent the whole week inside because of a freak ice storm followed by snow. Today the high is 78 and I decided to take the kids to the park for a picnic lunch. Apparently a lot of moms thought the same thing because the park was packed.
We even had to settle for the bent picnic table someone took a knife to and carved out I'm Drunk and I'm Wasted in pretty good form for someone who is drunk & wasted, but I digress.
We are currently trying to get a swing for Laura onour swingset, but it's not going well so far. So she had her first swinging experience at the park and she LOVED it! Can't you tell?

Then I spread a blanket out in a shaded area and us girls hung out there while we watched big brother play with the other kiddos at the park. He lastched on to two girls at first and they didn't mind. But then he started playing with a few boys that had good snacks according to him. They had fun throwing the football into the pond to see if it would float back. It did thank goodness! Oh and you can totally tell Laura is my daughter because within seconds of me putting her down on the blanket one sock was covered in dirt. Only one.

I bought this hat along with some socks and shoes probably 8 years ago when I saw them at Babies R Us. They've moved around rooms and houses and managed to stay with us despite my penchant for losing things and Matthew's try, on more than one occasion, to get me to give them away as baby gifts. I love the look on my little tough girl in this pic. She's already showing signs of being rather tough because of dealing with a Big brother.

And this is for Gramps. Laura has a reach like you cannot believe. I've said it before on here, but NOTHING is safe from her reach. But before I got this picture I had to convince her that the rug's edge was NOT a teether. You've got to watch her to make sure she doesn't scootch herself over to the edge. A lot of my time is spent moving her from the edge to the middle. Heaven help me when she actually learns to crawl!
